Domaine Faiveley
Domaine Faiveley is the famous wine estate of the Côte d'Or which has been producing some of the best labels in Burgundy for 7 generations. Born from the foresight of the founder Pierre, who bought the first owned vineyards in the municipality of Nuit-Saint-Georges in 1825, today Domaine Faiveley is also one of the largest domaines, distributed along an area that includes prestigious grand cru vineyards and premier cru. Just think of the legendary Clos de L'Ecu and Corton Clos des Cortons Faiveley, from which the priceless Pinot Noir wines originate, or the Clos des Issarts, which is the cradle of prestigious white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. Like haute couture clothes, the wines of the domaine are made with a highly artisanal approach, made of extreme care and precision. The current owner of the company, Erwan Faiveley, has inherited the values and traditions of the family business, while introducing new technologies, in order to obtain the most authentic and representative wines of each terroir and vintage.
Domaine Faiveley wine
Each Domaine Faiveley wine is obtained from the best grapes, grown with rational and sustainable practices, rigorously hand-picked and selected before proceeding to vinification. They are then deposited in the fermentation vats, using a gravity system; after alcoholic fermentation, we proceed with a slow and soft pressing, with which an intense and pure must is extracted. The wines are then left to age in French oak barrels from 12 to 18 months, to conclude the refinement in the bottle. In this way, wines with a remarkable aging capacity are obtained, whose potential is distinctly expressed from youth. Equipped with power, elegance and finesse, they are the ideal companions for the most important occasions: Vino.com has a careful selection of the Maison's greatest Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays in its catalog.
What are the characteristics of Pinot Noir Domaine Faiveley?
Pinot Noir Domaine Faiveley is considered an excellence of the Burgundian territory. It is obtained from pure Pinot Noir grapes, harvested once they have reached perfect ripeness and selected by hand. Chambertin-Clos de Beze Grand Cru is presented in the glass with an elegant intense ruby red color and opens to the nose with fruity and toasted notes. The palate is powerful, yet soft and with a pleasantly persistent finish. This fine Pinot Noir is indicated in combination with game dishes, or with scrambled eggs with truffles. Echezeaux Grand Cru, on the other hand, is a light ruby red, with a seductive scent of fruit and toasted notes. In the mouth it is smooth and fruity, with a long and persistent finish.
