Coppo
Founded in 1892 in the Piedmontese municipality of Canelli, the Coppo winery is today one of the oldest wineries in Italy. The origins of the company are linked to the figure of Piero Coppo, founder of the family, founder of the company and husband of Clelia Pennone, heir to the ancient cellars of the family company of the same name, who allows her husband to expand the Canelli cellar, merging the two structures. It is 1913 and Coppo becomes the owner of the famous "Underground Cathedrals", so called to be dug into the tuff underground and for the barrel-vaulted characteristics that recall those of the churches, recognized in 2014 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The company, today entrusted to the fourth generation of the family, with Massimiliano and Luigi, boasts the production of the most typical red wines of Piedmont.
