Conte Vistarino
In the Pavia municipality of Rocca de 'Giorgi, around the spectacular nineteenth-century residence Villa Fornace, the 826 hectares of Conte Vistarino extend, one of the most prestigious winery exponents of Oltrepò Pavese viticulture and the greatest interpreter of Pinot Nero. variety was imported by Count Carlo Vistarino, from Burgundy, laying the foundations for a tradition linked to this vine that has continued up to the current generation represented by Ottavia Giorgi Vistarino.
The size and conformation of the landscape have allowed an excellent zoning work aimed at enhancing the multiple expressions that the territory was able to offer, hence the choice of planting the different varieties in the most suitable plots to obtain wines faithful to the territory and enjoyable : Riesling, Bonarda, Croatina but above all Pinot Nero, the main constituent of the estate's wines, to which 140 ha and 3 crus are destined.
