Château Palmer
Owned since 1852 by the Jewish bankers Pereire, known business rivals of the Rothschild family, Château Palmer owes its name to the English general Charles Palmer who renamed the estate in 1814, once it was bought by Marie de Gascq. We are located within the municipality of Margaux, in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region, a land of excellent wines characterized by a high degree of refinement and elegance.
Within its 52 hectares, Château Palmer successfully cultivates the typical varieties of the Bordeaux blend (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) and Petit Verdot which, also thanks to the work of the world-famous winemaker, Thomas Duroux, give life to productions of undisputed quality and personality. The expression of complexity by the grapes is favored by the production method adopted which does not include the addition of sulfur.
