Château d'Yquem
Château d'Yquem is the Sauternes that made the history of the appellation, the first and only sweet white wine to obtain the recognition of Premier Cru Supérieur in the historic Bordeaux Classification of 1855. It is produced from Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, coming from vineyards located in the southwestern part of Bordeaux, an area where the ideal conditions exist for the development of Botrytis cinerea, or "noble rot", which gives the wine those silky aromas that make Château d'Yquem a unique tasting experience, the result of an inimitable terroir, an ancestral savoir-faire, a meticulous and passionate care. In fact, Château d'Yquem is produced only in the best vintages and each vintage is a story in itself, made up of micro-moments and micro-factors that are reflected in the composition of one of the most precious wines in history, making it unique and unrepeatable.
