Casebianche
The Casebianche farm is an interesting reality in Cilento, which offers a range of wines characterized by a deep bond with the territory. The estate is located in Contrada Casebianche, in the municipal area of Torchiara, in the province of Salerno, a splendid hilly area near the sea. It is a fairly young company, founded in 2000 with the desire to give voice to a territory with great potential and not yet fully exploited. The property covers a total of 14 hectares, of which only five are dedicated to viticulture and the rest destined for the cultivation of olive trees, citrus fruits and other fruit trees. For the cultivation of the vine, only the most suitable plots have been chosen, the best exposed, in order to obtain high quality grapes. The agronomic management follows the principles of organic agriculture, also with the use of biodynamic practices. A choice made to preserve intact and uncontaminated the splendid landscape context and the rich environmental biodiversity.
The practice of green manuring is used between the rows, trying to promote and stimulate the natural fertility of the earth, without resorting to fertilization. The area is particularly suitable and can count on a typically Mediterranean climate, warm and sunny, always breezy due to the constant presence of sea breezes. The soils consist of the famous Cilento flysch, a sedimentation of marl and sandstone, with the presence of alluvial deposits, particularly draining and rich in minerals. Following the customs of the territory, the vines that have always lived in these lands, the Aglianico, the Piedirosso, the Fiano, the Malvasia, the Trebbiano and the Barbera, have been planted on the estate. The work in the vineyard and the harvesting operations are carried out manually and the grapes, harvested when fully ripe, healthy and genuine, are rapidly sent to fermentation. The vinifications take place using a light and minimally invasive enology, in order to always leave the varietal notes of the vines in the foreground. The wines are bottled with a minimum use of sulfur. The range of Casebianche wines represents the authentic face of Cilento, with labels of excellent quality.
