Ca' del Bosco
The Ca' del Bosco winery in Franciacorta is one of the most famous wineries in this wine region, which interprets the passion and dream of creating sparkling wines by looking at the famous wine history of the Champagne region. The first attempt to enhance the morainic area located south of Lake Iseo with the production of unique and highly authentic wines comes from an intuition of Maurizio Zanella.
Franciacorta is a region that has seen the enterprise of the peasantry rewarded and that in the first adaptations of the expression 'franchae curtes' recalls the ancient liberation from the payment of local taxes. The same initiative marks the success of Ca' del Bosco already at the dawn of its production history. Thus Ca' del Bosco has recognized and personalized a territory starting from a great passion for the most renowned culture of sparkling wine and arriving at conquering excellence and a strong identity.
In the mid-1960s this great adventure began with Annamaria Clementi Zanella who, by purchasing a small house in the hills surrounded by a chestnut wood in Erbusco, recovered the name "Ca' del bosc", which would become over the years '70 the symbol of a prestigious wine reality.

If for this reason the sparkling process takes place in an autoclave, the classic method is characterized by a sparkling process that takes place with the second fermentation in the bottle .
A meticulous production method involves the careful selection and classification of the harvested grapes, which are then processed to remove any impurities and guarantee a perfect result. In the absence of oxygen, the grapes are pressed before fermentation begins in oak barrels. Each step is carried out with care to preserve the product from contact with oxygen. Long refinements, stone cellars and bottle traceability are some of the tricks used in avant-garde cellars to maintain very high quality standards.
