Branca
We are in 1845 and Bernardino Branca, a well-known Italian apothecary, with Fernet, a Swedish doctor, invented in Milan a herbal preparation to cure the diseases of the time, cholera and malaria: the distillate that is emerging really possessed healing properties , but it was so good, with such a pungent but tasty flavor, that it quickly became famous. The alcohol content of the original distillate was reduced and, in 1859, the first Fernet Branca plant was established in Viale di Porta Nuova. Much has changed since those years, but not his vocation for quality: today Fernet Branca is considered an excellence, an ambassador of Italian spirit in the world.
