Brilliant and straightforward, Chianti Classico (93 pt Wine Enthusiast) is an agile flavoursome wine with perfectly developed tannins. Its diversified aromatic power and depth revolves around notes of violet, red fruits (like currant) and ideal acidity. The Chianti Classico Riserva (91 pt Wine Spectator) is also the result of a careful selection of grapes and aging in oak for 24 months: the perfect integration of rosehips and violets to the red fruits expands into the spicy aromas of nutmeg and black pepper, all well supported by a mature and refined tannic structure. Even more impressive is the Rialzi Chianti Classico Gran Selezione (95 pt Luca Maroni), the result of a careful selection of grapes and an overall ageing of 30 months: surprising the result, with hints of ripe red fruit, notes of violets and a warm and harmonious palate, enriched by spices and toasted notes of coffee and tobacco, for a long persistence.
