Located in Tuscany, near Panzano in Chianti and in the heart of Chianti Classico, Tenuta Casenuove is dedicated to the making of Sangiovese, but also Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, in addition to two more recent varieties, respectively Cabernet Franc and Canaiolo.
Philippe Austruy bought the estate in 2015 and was so impressed by the place and its enormous potential, that he decided to start renovating the estate and restoring its ancient landscapes with their dry stone walls and terraces. He also wanted to make exceptional wines.
The enthusiastic young team working every day at Casenuove and directed by Alessandro Fonseca is the real strength behind the success of the estate in undertaking ambitious projects to innovate the wine sector: the transition to organic wine making is a great example.
Tenuta Casenuove is located in the middle of one of the most popular winegrowing areas in Tuscany, the Chianti Classico. Wine appellations from this area are symbols of quality and tradition. Tenuta Casenuove currently produces four labels: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, IGT Toscana Rosso.
