Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Barrel Proof Rare Breed Wild Turkey

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is the ultimate expression of Jimmy Russell's signature Wild Turkey essence, a fine bourbon produced by the famous American distillery based in Lawrenceburg in the state of Kentucky. A Barrel Proof born from a careful selection of corn, rye, barley malt, selected yeasts and filtered water from the Kentucky River. For the composition of this bourbon, 75% of corn, 13% of rye and the remaining 12% of malted barley have been provided. Once the cereals are cooked in water, yeast is added to create the yeast must. Then we move on to distillation in a discontinuous distiller which takes place twice and at the end of this process the bourbon is poured into American white oak barrels where it rests according to the needs of the master distiller: for the Rare Breed a blend has been specially composed of bourbon of 6, 8 and 12 years of age.

This bourbon is presented in a gold color with burnished reflections. On the nose the notes of candied orange, dates and dried plums are evident, followed by the spiciness of cinnamon. In the mouth it is complex and various aromas are perceived, from cherry jam to honey, from marzipan to more spicy hints of black pepper and wood with a very long and soft finish.

This bourbon is perfect to be served neat and to be enjoyed alone to better perceive its characteristic hints and aromas.
