Description

The Australian red wine Classique was born at the foot of Simonsberg Mountain, where the French Huguenot farm Fredericksburg is located, founded in 1690, today the headquarters of Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons.

The wine is made up of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes, which, once in the cellar, are fermented in wooden and steel tanks. There is a maceration of the must in contact with the skins for 16-20 days.

It has a deep ruby red colour, with aromas of red plum, raspberry and cherry to which spicy hints of caramel and nuts are added. The sip is round, with soft tannins and a persistent finish.

Excellent to accompany red meats and roast lamb.
