Description
Boekenhoutskloof's Porcupine Ridge Chenin Blanc is a white wine that comes from the Swartland area of the Western Cape, renowned for its quality wine production. This Chenin Blanc grows on decomposed granite soils, an element that contributes to the creation of a wine with a unique character. The Porcupine Ridge range stands out for offering delicious and accessible wines, which reflect their commitment to conserving the biodiversity of their estate. It takes its name from the porcupine, a characteristic inhabitant of the farm.
The fermentation of the must takes place using indigenous yeasts, a choice aimed at preserving the freshness, fruity character, balance and structure typical of Chenin Blanc.
This Chenin Blanc has a brilliant straw yellow color. The nose is rich and layered, with fruity notes ranging from green apple to jam, enriched with nuances of acacia and tarragon. In the mouth, the wine is fruity, round, vibrant and balanced, with a clean and fresh finish that recalls apple blossoms, chamomile and ginger.
Recommended pairings range from salmon tartare to fish risotto and white meats.
