Description

Chenin Blanc Savana originates from the vineyards owned by the Spier company, a historic wine company in Stellenbosch, in South Africa.

Chenin grapes are harvested in the early morning hours. After careful selection carried out during the manual harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar, de-stemmed and pressed. They ferment in steel tanks, where they remain for further 2 months of aging on their fine lees.

It is characterized by a straw yellow hue with slightly hinted greenish reflections. The scent recalls tropical fruit such as pineapple and mango, melon, citrus fruits and a vegetable texture of fresh grass. In the mouth it proves savory and fresh, softened by a good body and with a long persistent finish.

Perfect to combine with a grilled swordfish steak.
