Description
The Grüner Veltliner Dürnstein by Pichler-Krutzler was born in the wine region of Wachau, in Austria, Unesco heritage and famous for its excellent wines. The winery, founded in 2007, is managed by Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler and Erich Krutzler, who manage 13 hectares of vineyards located near the banks of the Donau.
It is produced exclusively with Grüner Veltliner grapes, which remain in contact with the skins for 2–3 hours. The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats and the ageing is 5 months on the lees.
The wine is straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. On the nose there are hints of flowers, exotic fruit and a delicate spicy note. The sip is light, with a pleasant freshness and persistence.
Perfect with seafood appetizers and marinara risotto, or with roasted fish.
