Description

The Portail of Champalou originates in the area of Vouvray, in the Loire Valley.

It consists of 100% Chenin Blanc grapes, coming from vineyard parcels located near the cellar and defined by a clayey soil. The harvest takes place manually and allows you to implement a selection of the bunches in the field. These are immediately pressed after the harvest and the must is left to ferment in 450 liter wooden barrels, in which the wine obtained ages for about 18 months.

At sight it is straw yellow, embellished with some golden reflections. The perfume is floral and fruity, finished with a subtle and pungent mineral vein. In the mouth it is both fine and soft, supported by a discreet structure.

Ideal in combination with lobster.
