Description

The Vougeot AOC Clos du Prieuré Monopole, carefully produced by Domaine de La Vougeraie, is an exclusive expression of the Vougeot terroir. This Pinot Noir comes from a one-hectare monopole vineyard, planted between 1901 and 1983, characterized by a calcareous soil very rich in pebbles.

The harvest produces a wine of great intensity, vinified without pressing the grapes and with cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation lasted 18 days, followed by 15 months of aging in wooden barrels, 20% of which were new, to enhance the complexity and structure of the wine without overpowering its character.

This wine stands out for its finesse and depth, offering a tasting experience that masterfully balances aromatic intensity and tactile elegance. Notes of red fruits blend with earthy accents and spicy nuances, typical of the exceptional territory of origin.

Recommended with rich dishes such as red meats and game or mature cheeses, this wine promises to evolve magnificently over the years, becoming even more complex and enveloping.
