Description
This Vosne-Romanée was born in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, near the village of the same name, famous for producing the most sublime expressions of Pinot Noir. The soil is characterised by a good presence of limestone mixed with clayey marl.
A cold maceration at 8 °C precedes a 3-week fermentation in steel at a maximum temperature of 30 °C. This is followed by a further maceration at 25 °C and malolactic fermentation, then the wine is aged in barriques for 8–16 months depending on the vintage.
Intense garnet red, it opens with notes of dried rose and red fruits, with a cigar-box sensation. The palate is structured and precise, with fine and persistent tannins, leading to a pleasant and complex finish.
The ideal accompaniment for this wine are game birds and medium-aged cheeses such as Camembert or Reblochon.
