Description
Pierrick Bouley's Volnay is a refined expression of Pinot Noir, grown on an area of 2.5 hectares in the renowned parcels of Gigotte, Grands Champs, Paquier, Luret, Echard, Pluchots and Chanlins. This red wine, symbol of Burgundy's winemaking excellence, stands out for its elegance and complexity.
The manual harvest and careful selection of the grapes allow the winemaking to begin without sulfur to preserve the fresh fruit aromas. Fermentation occurs quickly thanks to the precise control of density and temperature, with an initial part of alcoholic fermentation in tanks followed by 12 months of maturation in barrique. This process gives the wine a balanced structure and a distinctive tannic finesse.
Pierrick Bouley's Volnay has an intense red color. Elegant notes of ripe red fruits, delicate spices and a light touch of vanilla emerge on the nose, the result of aging in wood. In the mouth, the wine reveals a silky and harmonious texture, with a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, which ends in a persistent and aromatic finish.
This wine pairs beautifully with dishes rich in flavour, such as roasted red meats, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses. Its elegance and structure also make it perfect to accompany special occasions and refined dinners, enhancing every combination with its depth and aromatic complexity.
