Description
This Premier Cru red wine from Domaine Jacques Prieur was born in the 1.19 hectare Clos de Santenots vineyard, within the Volnay appellation.
It is made entirely of Pinot Noir grapes, which are first destemmed. This is followed by fermentation lasting 20 days at a controlled temperature in open wooden vats. The aging takes place in oak barrels and lasts 21 months.
Ruby red in color with violet hues, it expresses itself on the nose with aromas of black fruits, spices and toasted notes. The sip is elegant, with evolved tannins and excellent persistence.
To pair with red meats and game, both roasted and stewed.
