Description
Viré-Clessé Quintaine is a white wine produced in France, in the Burgundy region. This wine is made from Chardonnay grapes grown on silty clay soil with limestone subsoil. The vineyard extends for 6.5 hectares, with an average age of the vines of 60 years.
Winemaking involves soft pressing of the grapes and spontaneous fermentation. The refinement takes place on the fine lees in 50/60 hl cement vats for 5 months, giving the wine a complex structure and notable elegance.
The Viré-Clessé Quintaine stands out for its exotic traits and subtle minerality. On the palate, the wine offers a combination of unexpected flavors and textures, expressing its power and strength in a balanced way.
Perfect in combination with a capon broth, chicken livers and cardoon sautéed in egg and parmesan.
