Description
The '68 Extra Brut Metodo Classico sparkling wine from the Mirizzi winery is a prestigious wine obtained from 100% Verdicchio grapes, grown organically on a heroic vineyard, facing north on the hills of Monte Roberto at 300 m above sea level.
The winemaking takes place according to the Classic Method, with a manual harvest in the last week of August. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine matures for 10 months on its noble lees with bâtonnage, followed by secondary fermentation in the bottle and a further 30 months of aging on the yeasts. After disgorgement, the wine rests in the bottle before being marketed.
This sparkling wine has a fine perlage and a straw yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, aromas of bread crust, walnut and light vanilla emerge. On the palate it is elegant, with a citrusy sip that highlights a pleasant acidity and a balanced structure.
This Classic Method sparkling wine is perfect for accompanying an entire meal, enhancing dishes based on fish, shellfish and fresh cheeses.
