Description
The Italian red wine produced by the Salsedine winery is a celebration of the harmony between two emblematic grape varieties of Southern Italy: Primitivo and Negroamaro. This wine is a sensorial journey that begins with its color, an intense ruby red that recalls the sunsets over the Ionian sea, and continues with an explosion of ripe aromas.
The harvest took place in the first week of October, a time when the grapes reach the peak of their aromatic expression. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are conducted in stainless steel, after which the wine is transferred to French and American oak barrels where it ages for 12 months.
It appears in the glass of an intense ruby red color. It offers a broad and complex bouquet to the nose, made up of hints of plum and cherry jam, tobacco and cocoa. On the palate it reveals a full-bodied and well-balanced wine, with elegant tannins and a long finish that closes on a peppery trace enriched by aromas of coffee and vanilla.
When paired, it proves particularly suitable to accompany mature cheeses and tasty first courses. It is also suitable for accompanying second courses based on red meat and spicy dishes in general.
