Description
The Red Wine of Il Palazzone was born with the desire to revive the traditional "everyday wine". A blend of Sangiovese from different vintages which also includes part of the declassified grapes intended for the production of Brunello, with the aim of giving greater structure and complexity.
The harvest takes place manually at the end of October. The must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel and then gives way to malolactic fermentation. Subsequently the wine matures in oak barrels for at least 2 months and further refines in the bottle.
The intense ruby red color anticipates an enveloping bouquet of ripe red fruit and floral sensations. On the palate it is harmonious and full-bodied, with soft tannins that vibrate throughout its persistence.
Ideal to accompany traditional Tuscan dishes, in particular pappardelle with wild boar ragout and Florentine steak. It is also suitable in combination with mature cheeses.
