Description
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva di Canneto comes from vineyards located in the homonymous DOCG.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Merlot and Cabernet grapes, hand picked and selected, from late September to mid-October. After soft pressing and destemming, the must ferments in steel, with maceration for 16 days. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels for 18 months, then in wooden barrels and in bottles for at least 6 months, before being put on the market.
The Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva di Canneto is characterized by a ruby red color tending towards garnet. The nose has intense sensations of black currant and cherry, with touches of licorice, tobacco and spices. On the palate it proves structured, fresh and incredibly balanced.
Perfect to accompany roasts and game, it is ideal in combination with Pecorino di Pienza and with mature cheeses in general.
