Description

The Sopraquota 900 white wine is produced by the Valle d'Aosta winery Rosset, whose first hectares of vineyards were planted in 2001 in the Senin area of Saint-Christophe. In the following years the company decided to push production even higher up, buying vineyards over 900 meters above sea level

The wine is made from white grapes from Villeneuve, from vineyards at more than 900 meters above sea level. After a manual harvest at the end of October, the grapes are pressed and aged partly in amphorae, partly in Tuscan jars, partly in barriques and the rest in steel. During the vinification, a cold pre-fermentation skin maceration is carried out, while the malolactic fermentation takes place in wood.

The wine has a straw yellow color, with a nose that recalls the scents of flowers and citrus fruits, in particular grapefruit. The sip is dry, well balanced between acidity and flavor.

It goes well with fish, shellfish and white meats.
