Description
Vinsanto di Carmignano Riserva di Capezzana is a traditional sweet wine from the Carmignano area, obtained from Trebbiano and San Colombano grapes from east-facing vineyards located at an altitude of between 100 and 150 metres.
After harvesting, the grapes are left to dry and then vinified in small wooden barrels (chestnut, cherry and oak). Alcoholic fermentation takes place in the spring months, followed by a long aging of about 7 years in barrels. The bottle refinement lasts at least 3 months before being released for sale.
This Vin Santo has an intense amber color and on the nose it releases complex aromas of candied fruit, apricot, orange peel, dried fig and honey. On the palate, you perceive a perfect balance between sweetness and freshness, with a long and pleasant persistence.
It pairs wonderfully with Tuscan biscuits, blue cheeses and liver pâté.
