Description

The Vin des Allobroges Argile Blanc from Domaine des Ardoisières is the result of a skilful combination of varieties such as Chardonnay, Jacquère and Mondeuse Blanche grown on west-facing slopes in the Le Villard area of Savoie.

The winemaking follows traditional methods, favoring direct pressing to maintain the purity and essence of the fruit. Fermentation occurs spontaneously thanks to the use of indigenous yeasts, allowing the wine to develop a unique character in perfect harmony with its natural environment. The use of first and second passage barrels and barriques adds a subtle complexity without overpowering the freshness of the wine.

In the glass it presents a bright straw yellow. On the nose it offers an intense and elegant olfactory expression, in which the lively notes of pine needles and fresh citrus fruits dominate. Delicate hints of white flowers and white fruit follow, enriched by subtle spicy accents that emerge towards the finish. The structure is refined, with a balance that reflects the elegance of its terroir.

It pairs beautifully with shellfish, seafood and grilled fish.
