Description
Vigneti delle Dolomiti Terre di San Leonardo by Tenuta San Leonardo was born in the vineyards of Vallagarina, located in the extreme south of Trentino.
It is produced with a careful assembly of the grapes grown in the company vineyards, harvested in perfect ripeness during the months of September and October. The must ferments and macerates on the skins for a long period, with repeated daily punching down. Subsequently, most of the wine ages in oak barrels for 18 months and a small part in barrique for 6 months.
It is characterized by a bright ruby red colour. The nose has a perfume of good amplitude and moderate persistence, with pleasant aromas of ripe plum and light herbaceous nuances. On the palate it is dry, soft and balanced, with a pleasantly bitter finish. Its good aromatic persistence expresses a great refinement.
Perfect to accompany pasta dishes and stuffed pasta, it is ideal in combination with red meats, white meats and aged cheeses.
