Description
The 4 Kilos of Bodegas 4 Kilos is a wine produced with Callet grapes on the island of Mallorca.
After a careful manual selection of the grapes, we proceed to vinification for 50% in steel and for the remainder in 2500 liter wooden vats. With fermentation conducted at controlled temperatures, the malolactic fermentation takes place in wood and steel. The wine is aged in 600 liter Allier oak barriques for 12 months.
Intense ruby red color with some garnet reflections, it reveals to the nose pleasant hints of ripe red fruits, spicy notes and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it is rich and harmonious, with return of red fruits in jam, good structure and smooth tannins before a long finish.
Perfect for cured meats and semi-aged cheeses, it is the wine of red meats cooked on the barbecue and of savory first courses based on wild boar or mushroom sauce.
