Description
Veronese La Grola di Allegrini was born in vineyards located in the homonymous Podere in Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella, in the province of Verona.
It is mainly produced with Corvina and Oseleta grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 20-28 ° C for about 15 days. After the malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine ages for 16 months in second passage French oak barrels and for a further 10 months in bottle.
It has a compact ruby red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of red currant and plum, enriched with hints of vanilla, black pepper and coffee. On the palate it is elegant and harmonious, a highly refined wine capable of evolving positively for over a decade.
Perfect to accompany red meat and roast dishes, it is ideal in combination with lamb, kid, stewed or grilled mushrooms and non-spicy seasoned cheeses.
