Description

Chardonnay Torre Pieve rises from the vineyards of the Tenuta Santa Maria that extend into the Val d'Illasi, east of Verona.

The grapes are harvested by hand between the first and second ten days of September, pressed and subjected to cold decantation. The fermentation is half in steel at a controlled temperature, half in new medium toasted barriques for 150 days where it also carries out a first refinement. This is followed by assembly of the masses and aging for about 6 months in steel and a further 4 months in bottle.

It shines in the glass with its straw yellow with slight greenish hues. The scents emanating from the glass are intense and fruity, characteristic of the variety of origin, recalling in particular exotic fruit, such as pineapple and banana, vanilla, hazelnut and melted butter. In the mouth it expresses an elegant structure and a good balance between freshness and flavor.

It goes well with light appetizers and fish-based first courses.
