Description
Vermentino Superiore Bèru is a tribute to the Sardinian territory and to its wine. Work of the Siddura winery, this white with strong territoriality comes from a sincere philosophy based on respect for nature.
It consists of Vermentino grapes in purity, coming from the Gallura area. The soils are predominantly sandy, deriving from a granite weathering, and are located at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. During the harvest, carried out strictly by hand, the bunches are selected with extreme care. After being de-stemmed, the grapes are subjected to a short skin maceration and then softly pressed. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages for about 8 months in new Allier oak barriques. A last month of bottle aging precedes the marketing.
Intense straw yellow in color, it expresses pleasant hints of thyme and aromatic herbs on the nose, enriched with notes of honey and vanilla. On the palate it is elegant and harmonious, with good flavor and freshness.
Recommended in combination with the local potato culurgiones.
