Description
This red wine is produced by the Scarpa winery and is composed exclusively of Pelaverga grapes, one of the lesser known red vines, produced mainly in the municipality of Verduno (CN).
The Pelaverga grapes come from one of the company's estates, in this case that of Monvigliero, located in the municipality of Verduno (CN), a few kilometers from the towns of Bra and La Morra. After the traditional vinification, the Pelaverga ages in steel for 6 months, to then spend 2 months in the bottle before being marketed.
In the glass the wine appears bright ruby red, quite light. On the nose the wine is expressed with aromas of red fruit and its typically spicy notes. The sip is dry, full-bodied, characterized by the good persistence of the spicy notes of the grape.
Ideal in combination with cold cuts, white meat, even grilled, and aged cheeses.
