Description
Cambrugiano was the first Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva produced by the Belisario winery, located in the Alta Valle Esina, which today can create its own wines from a palette of 300 hectares of vineyards.
It consists of 100% Verdicchio, the protagonist variety of this area of the Marche. Once harvested, the grapes are subjected to a cryomaceration that intensifies their structure and aromas, and then they are sent to a vinification carried out partly in steel and partly in large toasted oak barrels. A year of refinement in the bottle follows before release.
It appears luminous in its greenish yellow hue. The nose opens to notes of ripe fruit reminiscent of peach, pineapple and a citrus trace, against the background of an inviting mineral texture and a nuanced closure of dried fruit. The savory imprint emerges clearly to the taste, where it binds to a nice acid shoulder that marks a very pleasant drink. Excellent structure and character.
Ideal with first courses and appetizers, it is perfect to accompany a chicken with almonds.
