Description
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Ammazzaconte comes to life from 100% Verdicchio grapes from the Ripalta di Arcevia vineyard, in the province of Ancona.
It is produced with hand-harvested and softly pressed whole bunches of grapes. Fermentation takes place in steel with temperature control. A small part of the free run must ferments and matures in French oak tonneaux for 6 months. After blending, the wine rests in steel and French oak tonneaux for between 12 and 15 months, followed by a further 4-5 months of aging in the bottle.
The result is a wine with an intense straw yellow color. The nose is expressed in a complex bouquet made of hints of yellow flowers, ripe fruit and star anise. In the mouth it is sapid, mineral and persistent.
To be preferred in the company of second courses based on fish and seafood, it goes well with mountain cheeses.
