Description
Artemia, which in ancient Greek indicates a state of good health and integrity, is the flagship wine of Château Pesquié, made from the most representative red berried varieties of the Rhone Valley: Syrah and Grenache.
The harvest period coincides with the optimal ripening stage of the grapes. The vinification is carried out with a delicate and slow maceration which can take up to one month. It follows ageing in concrete tanks, barrels and L-type demi-muid for 12–15 months and bottling at the same château.
At the sight it offers a seductive ruby red color that suggests fresh notes of red fruit, among which strawberry and raspberry stand out, which meet with more dry hints of violet and black pepper. The mouth is balanced and fruity, with a velvety consistency and a finish that insists on notes of black pepper.
Accompanies terrines, roasts and grilled red meat. Indicated in combination with a dish of scrambled eggs with black precious truffle.
