Description

Silica red wine is produced by Château Pesquié, who named it in homage to silica, the substance that is the basis of one of the biodynamic preparations used in the vineyard.

The cuvée composed of Grenache (90%) and Cinsault (10%) grapes ferments in concrete vats with a maceration of about 4 weeks. Ageing takes place in wooden barrels and in concrete tanks for 12–15 months.

It is characterized by a ruby red colour. The nose brings hints of small flowers, small red fruits and white pepper. On the palate it is fine and juicy, with silky tannins.

Excellent in combination with beef carpaccio, grilled veal slice and simple dishes with mushrooms.
