Description

The Venezia Giulia Vespa Rosso by Bastianich is born in vineyards located in Cividale del Friuli, in the province of Udine.

It is obtained from a skilful blend of Merlot, Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place separated in open tonneaux at a controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine is aged for 18 months in barrique, before being bottled.

It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with a complex bouquet that embraces hints of blackberry and berries, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate it is full and enveloping, characterized by an excellent balance.

Perfect to accompany meat ragu, stewed meats and roasts, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
