Description
Parovel's Terrano Hodì was born in the Karst or Kras, borderlands between Italy and Slovenia. The vineyards grow in San Dorligo della Valle or Dolina, in the province of Trieste. The word "Hodì" derives from the Slovenian expression "on hodi", "he walks", referring to the many possibilities of pairing this wine.
It is obtained only from Terrano grapes, picked slightly late. The grapes undergo first of all a cold pre-fermentation maceration, while vinification and aging take place in steel.
Intense ruby red color, the nose reveals aromas of fresh red overflows, cherry and plum. The sip is characterized by a marked freshness and acidity.
Ideal in combination with fatty cured meats, semi-aged cheeses, second courses based on red meats and pork ragout.
