Description

Podere dei Blumeri is a blend of Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso grapes, varieties that have proven to be particularly suitable for the microclimatic and pedological conditions of the homonymous estate of the Schiopetto company.

The bunches are harvested manually between the second and third decade of September. Fermentation takes place for 10-15 days in wooden vats at a temperature of 25 ° C. The wine ages for at least 18 months in oak barrels and ages for a further 18 months in glass.

Intense ruby red color, it releases elegant sensations of black currant and morello cherry on the nose, combined with pleasant balsamic and tobacco perceptions. On the palate it is intense and fresh, with subtle tannins and a long and persistent finish.

Valuable in the company of red meats and game, it accompanies a platter of aged cheeses.
