Description
Kreda by De Stefani is a red wine obtained from Refosco dal peduncolo rosso grapes grown in the "Kreda" vineyard on the Le Ronche estate, located in Fossalta di Piave, in Veneto. The name comes from the Venetian dialect and means "clay", a fundamental element of the soil that contributes to the unique character of this wine. The grapes are grown on an alluvial soil composed of white clay and sediments of dolomitic rock.
After the September harvest, fermentation and maceration take place in concrete tanks, followed by 12 months of refinement in new French oak barriques and a further 12 months in the bottle.
Of an intense ruby red color, it offers aromas of ripe fruit, plums in alcohol and violets, with a rare elegance. On the palate it is decisive, important and enveloping, with velvety tannins and complex tertiary scents that give depth and structure.
It pairs perfectly with risottos, roasts and kid, enhancing the flavours of these dishes with its rich and velvety character.
