Description
The Chardonnay Bricola by Bosco del Merlo derives its name from the typical wooden structure consisting of three or more poles folded together and planted in the waters of the Venetian and Friulian lagoons. This structure has the function of indicating the waterways to sailors.
After destemming, the grapes undergo a cryomaceration for about 24 hours at a temperature of around 5 °C. A soft pressing follows to extract the must, which is sent to alcoholic fermentation, and then refined on the lees.
In the glass the wine is straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. The nose is quite complex, with aromas of ripe yellow fruit and tropical fruit. In the mouth, in addition to fruit, also a good acidity and flavour stand out.
Ideal as an aperitif, in combination with raw fish and light fish-based dishes.
