Description
The Solèr of the De Stefani company takes its name from the Venetian dialect, where Solèr means attic or granary, where once the grapes were dried, taking advantage of the ventilation and the sun of these environments.
It is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Refosco and Marzemino, harvested between late September and early October. The Marzemino and Refosco grapes are dried, while the others are de-stemmed, crushed and left to ferment in vats at a controlled temperature. The refinement takes place in wood for 12 months, followed by a further refinement in the bottle for 12 months.
Intense ruby red color, the nose recalls aromas of very ripe fruit, plums in alcohol, violet, with marked ethereal and spicy notes. The sip is wide and enveloping, velvety and with a persistent finish.
It goes perfectly with appetizers rich in cured meats, baked pasta, grilled meat.
