Description
The Passito Fervo di Astoria was born in vineyards located in the hilly area of the municipality of Refrontolo, in the province of Treviso.
It is obtained from 100% Marzemino grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand and slightly overripe, and left to dry on cane racks for approximately 3 months. The fermentation, with maceration of approximately 2-3 days, is stopped early to guarantee a high residual sugar. Subsequently the wine ages for several months in the bottle, before being marketed.
Passito Fervo di Astoria is characterized by an intense ruby red color, with violet reflections. The nose opens with a fragrant and delicate bouquet, with hints of morello cherry and berries. On the palate it is sweet and velvety, with a pleasant body and flavor, enriched with hints of blackberry and berries.
This sweet wine is ideal to consume fresh or paired with chocolate desserts.
