Description
Harlequin , an exceptional wine from the Zýmē winery, was born in the property's vineyards located in the provinces of Verona and Vicenza. Its label, inspired by the figure of Harlequin, reflects the mask, the tear on the face and the tomato stains on the dress, evocative symbols of this famous theater figure. This wine is the result of a careful selection of at least 15 grape varieties, including 4 whites - Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay - and 11 reds - Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syraz, Teroldego, Croatina, Oseleta, Sangiovese, Marzemino.
The grapes, harvested manually and selected by the oenologist, are placed in trays for a period ranging from 0 to 40 days in a natural environment. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks with indigenous yeast for approximately 30 days. This is followed by a double refinement of 30 months using new French oak barriques.
Visually, Harlequin has a brilliant ruby red color, with garnet reflections that emerge with aging. On the nose it offers a bouquet of fruit, supported by floral notes and mineral hints. On the palate it is enveloping and complex.
Excellent wine to pair with meats, both white and red, it pairs perfectly with mature and mature cheeses. Also ideal as a meditation wine.
