Description
Acininobili is a sweet wine produced by the Maculan family, a historic winery in Breganze, Veneto. This hilly area, characterized by volcanic and tuffaceous soils, enjoys an ideal climate thanks to the protection of the Asiago Plateau.
Made from 100% Vespaiola grapes, it originates from a manual selection of berries struck by Botrytis cinerea in its larval form, the so-called "noble rot." After fermentation, the wine ages for two years in new Allier oak barriques and rests in the bottle for six months, developing extraordinary aromatic and gustatory complexity.
With a bright and shiny antique gold color, it stands out for an intense and spicy bouquet, with notes of acacia honey, dried fruit, raisins, and flint. On the palate, it is sweet yet never cloying, elegant and sumptuous, with a full body and a massive structure. Its very long persistence makes it an exciting and unforgettable wine.
It pairs perfectly with a slice of foie gras, but expresses its utmost essence when enjoyed alone, in good company, in front of the fireplace.
