Description
The Fiorebella red wine from Tenute Fiorebella is born in vineyards located on the hills around San Pietro in Cariano, in the province of Verona.
The wine is a blend of Corvina and Merlot grapes, harvested by hand in early October. The grapes are placed in a fruit cellar, where they are left to dry at a controlled temperature. The dried grapes are vinified separately. They are destemmed and vinified in steel and at a controlled temperature, during which frequent pumping over and delestage are carried out. Malolactic fermentation occurs following the addition of malolactic bacteria. The wines are blended and 50% of it is aged in French and American barriques for 12 months.
Intense ruby red in colour, the nose has clear aromas of cherries, dried fruit, plums and chocolate. The sip is soft and full-bodied, with a long and spicy finish.
It goes very well with red meats and game with important cooking.
