Description

Valtellina Superiore Sassella Rocce Rosse is a Reserve born from an act of courage of the founder Arturo Pelizzatti Perego, from whom Ar.Pe.Pe., who invested in a vineyard located at 400 meters above sea level, which he refurbished to produce this wine obtained only from Nebbiolo delle Alpi grapes, locally called Chiavennasca.

Fermentation takes place traditionally in red, with a period in contact with the skins which lasts up to 69 days in wooden vats. It ages for 39 months in wooden vats and barrels, then in cement and in the bottle.

Dress the glass with a beautiful ruby red color. The nose is broad and complex, with intoxicating scents of flint and smoky notes that leave room for hints of alpine herbs and berries. The sip is elegant and complex but at the same time balanced, characterized by a vibrant freshness.

To be served with game recipes, braised and roasted beef. Excellent also in the company of cold cuts and cheeses typical of the Valtellinese tradition.
