Description

The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Le Tense by Nino Negri was born in vineyards located in Valtellina, north of Lake Como in the province of Sondrio, in the Sassella sub-area.

It is produced exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 2 months. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques and French oak barrels for at least 2 years before being bottled.

It has a vivid ruby color. The nose opens with complex aromas, with persuasive hints of raspberry, enriched by pleasant notes of rose and black cherry. On the palate it is full, pleasantly soft and with good flavor. The wine expresses a pleasant and persistent aftertaste of dried plums and spices.

Perfect to accompany meat sauce and red meat dishes, it is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
